multiple active tu assignments for one door

Hi EWM Gurus,

for one door there are lots of active tu assignments that is causing issues in the production.

while assigning a new tu to the door, there must be a check that looks for any previous active status and gives user an error message.

how to make this check effective? there are few notes but this is happening in the EWM 9.4 system.

if there is a way to prevent this, please let me know

HI Anand,

For a TU, we should first assign the free door, then TU arrives the door which will set the door active status. In active status, system will not show this door free any more. In standard SAP design, if now any user assigns the same door, system should issue error message.

If there is no error message, just check the below configuration path:

EWM -> Cross-Process Settings -> Shipping and Receiving -> General Settings -> General Setting for ...

To make sure the warehouse setting is there.

Please let me know your process steps and I may be able to reproduce the error and help.

Adding to Ajit's comments. What is the error you are getting when you try to assign TU to Door?

Also, as per standard, even though Active TUs exist to door, the door would have been in Planned status and you will get error only when you try to activate same door to multiple TUs.

My assumption:

-> We can assign Door to TU in Planning perspective (Planned), but System throw error when TU docked at Door (Menu Option in /SCWM/TU) if Door is active with other TU.

-> These TUs might loading stock in different DOOR.

TU can assign to multiple DOOR for loading different Stock.
