MRP type - PD against reservation

Hi,

I have one question regarding MRP type PD. I'd like to know how is the MRP type can be configured against purchasing requisition and movement type.

I have one material has 1 EA stock in the plant in transaction code MMBE - stock overview , and in material master - MM03, max stock of 5 EA in the plant.

When I started the MRP run without reservation, no purchasing requisition is created.

When I created a reservation of movement type 201, with 10 EA reservation, a purschasing requistion is generated after the MRP run.

Anyone can explain why ? what is different with the reservation against MRP type PD ?
