MRP Live issue for Advanced Planning material

Hi,

I am using the S/4HANA 1909 CAL system loaded with BP scenarios.

When running MD01N for an Advanced Planning material, the material is not getting planned.

But when using Classic MRP (MD02), it works.

In Advanced Planning view of MM,

- "Advanced Planning" is checked

- PP Planning Procedure = 4

- Product Heuristic: SAP_PP_002

I checked in tcode md_mrp_force_classic, no issues.

Also ran tcode /N/SAPAPO/RRPLOG1, no errors.

Anything I am missing?

Hello,

Classic MRP can't send the material to be planned in PP/DS, MRP Live does that if the material is configured in such way.
If you want to plan the material strictly by MRP Live, make sure the scope limitation is rightly chosen.
By using scope limitation 2 (PP/DS Restricted for Inhouse only) in the advanced planning tab,  you can achieve planning just by the S/4HANA MRP LIVE, without the PP/DS planning.

This setup is for Split planning: MRP in S/4 then PP/DS

With MRP type PD, MRP Live should also run in PP/DS according to the documentation.

thank you for the answer.

Report PPH_CHECK_MRP_ON_HANA shows that my material is a candidate for MRP Live.

Transaction MD_MRP_MATERIAL_INFO does not exist in my 1909 system.

The material is in table PPH_DBVM.

The material type is PD.

Report PPH_SETUP_MRPRECORDS did not show any inconsistencies.

In MD_MRP_FORCE_CLASSIC, I see that my material is planned with Advanced Planning.

My requirements are Independant requirements (MD61). Would that be the issue?

Hello,

You needs a setup MRP type X0 with MRP Procedure “X Without MRP, with BOM explosion” for material with advanced planning. For PP material use relevant MRP Procedure.

Use report PPH_CHECK_MRP_ON_HANA which displays the materials which cannot be planned by MRP live procedure along with the reason.

Transaction MD_MRP_MATERIAL_INFO shows any error that might have occurred during the MRP run.

MRP Live will still select materials for planning according to the planning file and the SAP S/4HANA are stored in table PPH_DBVM and the report to setup and fix inconsistencies in the planning file is PPH_SETUP_MRPRECORDS.

The MRP log can be accessed at any time after planning run with transaction MD_MRP_PERFLOG

What is the MRP type used for advanced planning material?

You are using the transaction MD_MRP_FORCE_CLASSIC and materials relevant for advanced planning are shown as not at all planned.

Then refer SAP note 2594587 - PP/DSonS/4HANA : Inclusion of Advanced Planning materials in MD_MRP_FORCE_CLASSIC
