Modify the serial number in EWM

Hello,

We have a problem during GR, user was entered a wrong serial number and it got posted the inventory in EWM.

Now we need to correct the right serial number to better identification.

we found that, at IM level , we can change the serial number with IQ02 and its not making any changes in the same serial number available in the EWM system.

Note: All the Financial transactions got completed.

Requesting your guidance/feedback to modify the serial number in e-EWM (S/4HANA 1809) system.

Hi,

SAP doesn't support SN correction or modification from ECC. Whatever you change in ECC in equipment master or serial number data, it will not reflect in EWM as there is no interface. Also EWM don't have equipment master. Even, ERP_STOCKCHECK doesn't support SN.

Only way is that physical inventory to correct SN.

Hi Prabakaran, what do you suggest in case, that INB delivery is stucked in SMQ2 due to different SN in ERP? We already post it in EWM....
