Mixed requirements subcontracting components

Hi everyone,

I'm facing an issue with managing components in my production and subcontracting processes in SAP, and I hope someone can provide some insights or solutions.

Here's the situation:

For a material with Procurement Type E (In-house Production/Production Order), I set the "Individual/coll. requirements" field to "1" (Individual). In this scenario, I can create a production order linked to a WBS and manage the components as unrestricted stock. Even though the components are in unrestricted stock, they are subsequently consumed by the parent WBS code, allowing for a flexible management approach.

However, when I set the parent code with Procurement Type F 30 (Subcontracting) and Individual, I can't manage the components as unrestricted stock. In this case, I can't find a way to manage the components in a mixed way like the production order.

My questions are:

  1. Why is it possible to have a "mixed" management of components (both linked to a WBS and unrestricted) in production orders but not in subcontracting?
  2. Is there a solution or workaround to manage components as unrestricted stock in the subcontracting scenario while still linking the parent code to a WBS?
