Mileage recording: Prefilling of mileage unit

Hi everoyne,

we are running a FSM company for USA an Candada combined and "KM" is always the prepopulated value for mileage unit recording.

I would like to know, if there is any chance to prefill the value for mileage unit by user / policy group. We have Canadian users that will use "KM" and US users that need "MILE" as prefilled value. US and CAN have own policy groups.

Any ideas how to prefill this value by user or policy group?

Hi Florian,

by default, the user’s locale is used to determine the distance unit for mileage entries. For example, if the user’s region is set to Germany, the default distance unit will be km (kilometers). However, if the user’s region is set to USA, the default distance unit will be mi (miles).

Hi @z_mamlouk ,

does the distance unit determination only work at iOS? When we change the region in time settings on Windows or Android to "United Kingdom", the mileage distance unit remains "km".
So is there any other chance to switch it to "Mile"? Maybe any company setting, business rule or whatever?
