MFS - Communication channels stop and telegrams bufferizing

Hello experts!

In the context of our mechanized warehouse using MFS, we have noticed the following behavior on the Communication Channels:

- When the connection is stopped on the side of the WCS, the channels obtain the Exception Restart "REST" until the connection is reestablished. During the REST time, outgoing telegrams are still bufferized and sent once synchronization is complete.

- When we stop channels manually on the EWM side, they get the "stopped by user" flag checked. This desynchronizes the channel and also prevents outgoing telegrams from being formed and bufferized. Most actions that normally cause telegrams don't, and those lost telegrams aren't sent when we restart the channels.

We have in the past experienced cases where we need to stop the channels manually to prevent issues, and we might need to do that again in the future in case of emergency. Since we might also not be able to fully stop the activity simultaneously, this means that some outgoing telegrams would be lost.

Do we have other alternatives than cutting the connection on the WCS side to prevent telegram loss? Or is there a possibility to align the manual stop of channels to the REST exception code?

Thanks!!
Kind regards,

Gautier Biston
