When we run MRP through MD01N in SAP S/4HANA, it does not always create the correct plan based on the lot size data in the MM module. Upon reviewing the MRP results, we notice that it treats weekends and public holidays as working days and generates planned orders accordingly. For example, for a material with a lot size of 3 days, when MRP runs on a Friday, we expect it to gather the needs for Friday, Saturday, and Monday and create a planned order. However, currently, it collects the needs for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, leading to a planned order quantity based on 2 working days since Sunday is not a working day. As the frequency of the lot size decreases, it creates multiple planned orders for the same material on the same day. Is there a solution to this issue? Can you provide support? Thank you.
