A is an old material that is being replaced by B. I want APO to take into consideration the stock of A towards planning B. I don't want to plan purchasing B if there is still stock of A that needs to be depleted. Is it possible? The issue we are having is that once B is created in SAP, planners don't take into account that there is existing stock of A, so they start buying B, and the stock of the discontinued item A is forgotten. I tried using VB11, but, as I understand, it affects sales orders, and not the planning. I would appreciate the help.

You can Interchangeability Functionalities of APO to get rid of this case.

Hi Brigitte,
I dont quite get which actual planning application are you using in APO, but have you tried the Interchangeability Group master data object (T-code: /N/INCMD/UI)?
Best Regards,
Gergely
