Master Data Type Product Category vs Product Type

Hello,

what is the different between product type and product category in the MD Product Type ?

Which product type I say this is finish product or rowmaterial. But what is than category ?

Hi Oliver,

It is one the attribute in the master data. It depends on how you want to use it based on the business requirement. For example, Product Type can be Finished Goods or Raw Material and Categorycan be Manufactured or Procured.

There is no hard rule how you can should use it.
