Master Data Table fields

Dear experts,

I am trying to have an understanding on the master data parameters in IBP tables, but I don't find too much documentation on it.

Does anybody know what are the below fields?

- Service Level Type Incdicator (in Location Product Table): it is a mandatory field, and in RDS data all records have an F, but not sure why.

- Lead Time (Location Source Table) why do we have two fields for Lead Time? I think only the first one is considered within the heuristics.

-Source Type (Production Source Header Table): it can be P(Production) or U (¿?)

If anyone can share information on the MD tables, it would be a great help.

Thanks in advance!

Best Regards,

Esther

Hi Esther,

1 - Service Level Type Indicator F indicates that it is fill rate type service level i.e. SLA can be defined as total number of units delivered in the give period / total number of units requested in the same period.

The other would be order based service level (available in full) where you define the SLA as number of order fulfilled in full/ number of orders placed. This is denoted by A.

2 - Lead Time - I am in version 4.x and I think there is only one attribute for lead time in SAP standard planning areas for Supply (SAP2 and SAP4).

3 - Source Type - U is for unsepcified rule. Is is specified when the source of supply to meet the demand is not required to be modeled explicitly e.g. when you have a 3rd party vendor for components.

Thanks,

Srikant
