Hi Gurus, I am looking for some help regarding the material flow balance between SF process and packing. I am using the continuous I/O functionality, maintaining distribution key (GLEI) on BOM and PDS, also i am maintaining Pegging with continuous I/O with min passing amount of 1. Im running PP/DS optimizer considering continuous flow.
I am in a massive food industry and the rule we are following is that SemiFinished process runs at 100% all time at max rate.
We need to search for an optimized schedule that maintains all SF production in zero (or near), while I schedule my Finished products on packing area. The thing is that I need to restrict some behaviours on PPDS optimizer because sometimes the optimizer considers that (shift over shift) my packing lines can consume higher amount of SF because the previous shift has left some stock there, and it is not correct because the process line is continuous, we cannot hold semifinished products to use it after some time.
I am sharing some screens on what i've done and hope you could help me.
The last line is SF product stock, some times the consumption is more than the production, so stocks levels decrease. I need to find a way that this do not happens.
Thanks,
Francisco
