How to do mass extension of materials to EWM Product Master(/N/SCWM/MAT1) ?

These materials are copied from ECC plant to new plant having EWM storage location.

Hello

I would probably use EWM monitor --> product master data --> warehouse attribute --> select "all products" in additional options. Then I would get all the products which are extended to the new plant/warehouse. Would then do a mass change/create and update the "warehouse data".

Hi,

the first question would be: WHY would you want to do that? Because "mass EXTENSION" sounds like the usual problem: WM consultants or users usually think it is the same as with the WM views: that you need a warehouse product for any usage in EWM - and that is wrong. Technically you do not need a warehouse product. That is the difference to WM. In WM for each material you want to putaway in a warehouse, you need the WM views - even if all fields are empty. In EWM, you only create warehouse products when you need to control something in the warehouse product specific. There are of course enough scenarios where you will have to create warehouse products, but maybe not for all your products.

The easiest way (IMHO) to create warehouse products and to fill certain fields, is slotting (https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_ON-PREMISE/9832125c23154a179bfa1784cdc9577a/4bc46aed5a304b41e10000000a42189e.html?version=1909.002 - note: not all things listed under "prerequisites" are really required, it depends what things you want to determine). The advantage of slotting is that you can schedule this, so this can create warehouse products also for new products without any interaction, the not so nice thing is that not all fields can be filled. Yes, the ABC analysis can also create warehouse products, but not the same fields can be updated.

The other "mass" option is the warehouse management monitor (https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_ON-PREMISE/9832125c23154a179bfa1784cdc9577a/51cdcb53ad377114e10000000a174cb4.html?version=1909.002) and the method in the node "Products" to create warehouse products.

All the above is no official SAP statement.

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!

And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!
