Mapping of Document Currency in IBP

Hello IBP Experts,

I have few questions related to Document Currency which is available in Customer master at the Sales Area level.

• Is there a way to map Document Currency in IBP?
• Is Document Currency the same as Base Currency?
• Can we add CURRID attribute in the Customer Master?
• Can we use future looking Exchange Rates to convert from Document Currency to USD, for e.g.?

I couldn't find good documentation on how to map Document Currency as Base Currency. Appreciate if you can provide some insights.

Below are my answers to your points

• Is there a way to map Document Currency in IBP? Yes you can map them
• Is Document Currency the same as Base Currency? Not exactly. Currency doesnt work like UOM where you base. In short we dont add exchange rate by SKU or Customer ID
• Can we add CURRID attribute in the Customer Master? The question is why do you need to add ? If you want the no.s to be displayed in the document currency all you need to do is to maintain an exchange rate and conversion
• Can we use future looking Exchange Rates to convert from Document Currency to USD, for e.g.? Yes you can refer to the thread above

Hello Rahul,

We would like to use standard attributes, else the Exchange conversion will not work with custom attributes for Currency ID and Currency Description.

Is there any documentation on how to address this requirement?

Are you talking about custom object attributes or standard model attributes ?
