Hello Gurus,
Hope all is great.
My system landscape is as follows: S4 system with ERP component, that talks with an S4 system with EWM activated.
We have activated LE-TRA EWM Integration, meaning that for outbound deliveries, we create them in S4, distribute them in EWM, then we create a Shipment in S4, send it to EWM as a TU.
We have found an issue that I have not been able to solve.
In EWM, as soon as the TU arrived, for the ODOs that belong to that TU, a PPF is created automatically to send ERP updates, which fails all the time. The existence of this PPF makes it so that it is impossible to post Goods Issue from EWM, as the system will try and fail to process the PPF.
The error message we get is "Maintain a service class for action /SCWM/FDO_MSG_SEND in customizing", which does not tell me anything on how to solve this.
As far as I can tell, all the customising for this process is standard.
Request clarification before answering.
I guess this is an sequencing issue
Are you following the below steps for execution ? Please see details link and let us know your steps.
SAP ERP distributes outbound deliveries to EWM where warehouse requests of the type outbound delivery are automatically generated.
For more information, see Outbound Processing: Transportation Planning in ERP
In SAP ERP, you create a shipment with HU and assign outbound deliveries.
The shipment information is transferred to EWM, where a vehicle or a TU and a planned shipping and receiving activity is created automatically and the outbound deliveries are assigned to the TU activity.
You perform warehouse activities related to outbound delivery orders, such as picking, packing, staging, and loading the goods.
You execute the action Arrival at Checkpoint for the vehicle or the TU. The system automatically changes the status of the shipping and receiving activity from Planned to Active.
You assign a door to the vehicle or the TU.
If yard management is active, you move the vehicle or the TU from the yard to the assigned door.
If yard management is not active, you execute the action Arrival at Door for the vehicle or the TU.
You perform warehouse activities, such as unloading the goods, posting the goods receipt, and putting away the goods.
With goods issue posting in EWM, the transport information is transferred to SAP ERP, where a shipment is automatically updated with the execution data.
If yard management is active, you move the vehicle or the TU from the door to the yard.
If yard management is not active, you execute the action Departure from Door for the vehicle or the TU.
Kind regards,
Ajit

Hi, Thanks for your reply.
The issue I had has been fixed, and it had nothing to do with the execution sequencing - after all, the issue I had popped up as soon as the TU was created in EWM.
The core issue was that someone had modified the Action Profile assigned to the document type, changing it from PDO to FDO. EWM really did not like this.
Once I changed it back, the issue was gone.
