Hello,
I am currently setting a storage type (rack type) that is managed with multi depth storage bins. In a manual warehouse (no MFS)
I have set a capacity consumption on the HU packaging material, a maximum capacity on the storage bins and capacity check against the packaging material figures on the storage type.
I have also restricted the storage bin to contain only one product.
The putaway is working as expected. But I am wondering how to drive the picking in order to have the system to pick first the HUs that are accessible (in the front position, the last one that has been put in the storage bin).
Not sure that there is a standard solution for a non MFS context.
Thanks,
Luca

Hi Patrick,
Thanks for your answer but I don't think it would work.
FIFO and LIFO are based on the date the HUs enter the warehouse, not the specific storage bin (HUs can be subject to internal movements and so on). So they can not be taken as a reliable indicator of the HU position in the multi depth bin.
Plus I would not want to compromise the FIFO as a general rule during picking. Just make sure the warehouse task are created first for the accessible HUs.
Kind Regards,
Luca

Hi,
first thought - simple thought: Instead of FIFO removal, try reversing the order to LIFO (?)
