Hello,
This is my first time on this forum and I hope someone can help. I am an end user, but nobody in my company seems to have found a solution for this so I would like to ask the community.
(Apologies, I was unable to find an appropriate "SAP managed tag" for this question)
We mass update the delivery dates of our POs creating (or amending if already there) GWs in the confirmations. The update is done with an Excel file where we just input PO, PO line and delivery date and upload with a custom transaction. This works very well if there is no GW in the PO line we are updating or if there is only one GW.
However, deliveries are often not in full and we need to manually create more than one GW to show different delivery dates. For example, if PO line 10 is for 1,000 pcs, we may have three GWs:
200 pcs on 01.04.2022
300 pcs on 20.04.2022
500 pcs on 15.05.2022
My questions are:
- Is it somehow possible to mass update the delivery dates of the POs and create or amend more than one GW? Perhaps this needs to also involve the quantity not just PO and PO line, as PO and PO line cannot uniquely identify a GW.
- If the above is not possible, is there any other way to mass manage PO lines with multiple delivery dates for the same PO line?
When we only have two GWs, I though about cancelling the GW once the goods are booked in for that partial shipment, but this causes issues with the overall quantity of the PO so it does not work.
At the moment whenever we have more than one GW, we need to manually update the orders. Any ideas to speed up this process would be massively appreciated.
Many thanks.
