Lot Size Procedure Within Order Based Planning

Hi Experts

I would like to know if the Lot Size Procedure Functionality which is available within Times Series Planning can also be done in Order Based Planning. The requirements is to have the Production Plans Generated within Order Based Planning Use a Pre defined Production Cycle Period as with Production cycle lotsize within Time Series.

Hello

Lot Size Procedure Functionality for time series cannot be leveraged directly from OBP as OBP use external MDT. For using lotsize in OBP you need to have all the external MDT integrated thru SDI and thier in the external production location MDT thier is predefined feild for lot size.

Then based on what you are running (either OBP optimizer of OBP constraint run) you can configure the planning profile accrodingly to enable lotsize for OBP.

Thank you for your swift response. Am I Correct in saying that the Lot size which you are referring to is static production Lot Size defined within the External PDS Data?. This has been set up. We are looking for a way to dynamically Generate production based on production Cycle which takes demand into account until the next cycle to generate the current production Requirement. Is this available within OBP?

Production cycle as of now dosent have any readymade solution or feature available in OBP. But thier are ways thru which you can do production cycling in OBP but that will involve copying OBP plan back to TS and use custom KF and calculation to club plans based on cycle and publish it back.

But ready solution is not available in OBP
