Location not getting created when Vendor (Carrier) drop to EWM in HANA environment

Issue Description:

When a new carrier/vendor is sent to the S/4HANA EWM system via IDocs (BD14) from SAP ECC, the system successfully creates the Business Partner (BP). However, it does not automatically generate the corresponding location (/SAPAPO/LOC3). This behavior differs from the non-HANA EWM system, where the location is created automatically.

Current Workaround:

Currently, we are using the report /SAPAPO/CREATE_LOCATION as a manual workaround to generate the missing location.

Actions Taken:

We reviewed SAP Knowledge Base articles and found SAP Note 2909245 and 3249598.

As suggested, we implemented the relevant BAdI with an empty implementation, also added the config.

Despite this, the location is still not being created automatically when a new carrier is sent to EWM via IDoc.

Request:

We are looking for a solution or any existing SAP Note or configuration that can be implemented to ensure that locations are created automatically in S/4HANA EWM (as in the non-HANA setup).

• Could you please advise on the following:
• Any additional BAdIs or configuration steps required?
• Whether any further relevant SAP Notes exist?
• If this is a known limitation in S/4HANA EWM and whether SAP recommends a different integration or enhancement approach?
