Loading weight handling units -> gross weight alternative unit of measure

Dear experts,

We are facing a situation in standard SAP WM where we are using the gross weight in the material master for both the base unit of measure as the alternative (WM-sales) unit of measure.

If I receive a handling unit on my process order, the loading weight is correctly calculated with the gross weight of the production unit (PC).

If the goods are picked from the warehouse, I also get the correct loading weight in my outbound delivery.

However, if I unpack and repack this handling unit in my outbound delivery, the system starts working with the gross weight of the base unit of measure, although am I still using the sales unit (PC). This causes a wrong pallet weight.

I just unpacked the entire handling unit and repacked onto a new one.

Any help would be highly appreciated!
