hi all,
we have KF COVERAGE -Projected Periods of Coverage. I believe this is standard KF.
it is output for supplyplanning with aggregation mode AVG.
With no calculations.
we have projected inventory KF with values in it can any help to understand how projected periods of coverage are calculated based on projected inventory.
heuristic run is used in this model.
we get values with two digits or 999 in this KF.
regards,
sanket.

Hi Sanket -
System knows by the projected inventory the number of future periods of demand that it can cover (meaning, it looks at the demand for the future periods and the inventory in hand and comes to a conclusion that the in-hand inventory can cover for the next x days of demand). Accordingly is the number you get in the COVERAGE key-figure. If the inventory can fulfil the total future demand of your planning scope, it gives the value of 999 or whatever the value that you maintained in the heuristic parameters.
Hope this clarifies,
Thanks,
