I have a requirement from my customer to create a planning view with the following key figures:
KF1
KF2
KF3
KF4
KF5
where as KF1 should be the SUM of all the below KFs; keeping in mind that KF2 will be copied from another planning area using the DISAGG operator, and the rest of KFs, the customer want to enter manually in the PA.
so my question, should i create an attribute for each of these KFs ( except KF2) then link it to a KF?
where as KF1 will be calculated and stored, and the rest are just stored and editable in the PA?
Request clarification before answering.
I cannot see any need for key figure attribute from your description.
Just have KF1 = calculated. KF2 = Stored and not editable. KF3 /4 /5 stored and editable
Straight forward and simple
If you think elsewise, you need to describe for WHAT you think you would need key figure attribute

I have no idea what you could mean with "create an attribute for each of these KFs"
If your target is KF1 = KF2 + KF3 + KF4 + KF5, than just do that in the KF-definition of KF1
And as this is absolute basic calculation and can be found in the model configuration guide, I guess that I miss the point what you really want to ask...

i mean i have to link each KF to an attribute and build it as "attribute as KF" for attributes KF3-5, i guess i was not clear about this part, my bad.
and yes i know you can SUM in KF definition.
but my target is not KF1 as i already have the solution for it my idea is the rest.
Also i want to get this straight, i only build attribute as KF when i want to upload the data through WebUI (through application jobs) but if the data is to be manually entered in excel i wont need to build that KF through the attribute.
