Issue with one stock type F2 in EWM 1909

Hi All,

I worked on F1 and F2 stock types all these days. Now in my current project I have requirement to define only F2.

I defined and maintained availability group settings.

Maintained storage location mapping.

Assigned the availability group in my storage type.

When I do the simple putaway-in PRDI I can see the stock type F2, I did the putaway, stock shows in MON in EWM side.

The issue is communication is not going back to S4(ECC), which means stock in MMBE is not visible and also Inbound delivery status not updated.

I dont see any queues stuck, I dont find anything in SLG1 or exception in ST22.

Can someone guide me, if there are any additional settings need to check? or any PPF settings need to maintain?

Kindly adivise.

Thanks,

Hari.

Hi,

"Different availability groups have been created and mapped to S4 storage locations based on stock type in the storage location mapping table."

Why would you define different availability groups if you only need one stock type? If we are still talking about the same warehouse number.

"I tried in different ways, not sure if this is backend system issue or something else, I could not trace out why when the GR posting is done, S4 delivery or stock is not getting updated."

What did you try? Post GR from the inbound delivery or with the TA "Physical Goods Receipt"? The stock is visible in EWM? But not in ERP? That would be strange, indeed. At least I would expect something stuck in the queue.

Hi,

"If we are working with only one stock type, we dont need to assign availability group inside the storage type?(final putaway storage type)"

You pretty sure do not work with only one stock type (or you never have quality mangement / returns / blocked stock?), but one storage location. And what purpose would the availability group in the final storage type serve in such an instance? This is only something which makes sense in an ROD/AFS scenario (ok, maybe in other, posting change scenarios as well, but not if you have only one storage location).

"The process we follow here is, its direct putaway, so we do the putaway from Door to final bin(WT created for this source and destination), and when the putaway WT is confirmed, Goods receipt also posted automatically."

Whatever process you want to do in the end: if the GR posting is not visible in ERP, I would start with trying to figure out why the GR posting does not work. If it works from the door, then it should work in the final bin as well.

Hi Juergen,

In my current project client managed different stock types in different storage locations. And they dont need F1 and F2, so its decided to work with only F2(I mean to refer to Unrestricted stocks) and no quality management, Production they manged in IM locations.

Different availability groups have been created and mapped to S4 storage locations based on stock type in the storage location mapping table.

Thanks,

Hari.

Hi,

"Assigned the availability group in my storage type."

Which storage type? And why would you do that anyway?

"Can someone guide me, if there are any additional settings need to check?"

How about you start with the first, basic step? Post the goods receipt for the inbound delivery in EWM. Does that change the stock situation in ERP? If yes, there is no problem. If no, start from there.

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!

The process we follow here is, its direct putaway, so we do the putaway from Door to final bin(WT created for this source and destination), and when the putaway WT is confirmed, Goods receipt also posted automatically. Here in this entire process stock type is F2 only.

EWM side all good, the only issue is S4 updates are not happening as mentioned in my 1st post. Kindly adivse.

Thanks,

Hari.

Hi Hari,

When you have one stock type the stock will get updated when you complete the goods receipt not when put away unless you have maintained the Update GR Control as "GR after Putaway" in ERP Version Control.

Thanks for the reply Fujitsu.

Yes, the step you mentioned correct, but still I dont see any update in my S4 delivery or stock-MMBE.

What can I check to make sure functionally there is nothing wrong. Kindly adivse.

Thanks,

Hari.
