Hi,
System : SAP S/4 HANA 1909 Embedded EWM
We use nested Handing units and whenever we pick for the production orders need to pick at the lower-level HU.
Example :
Pallet level HU number : HU100
Each pallet contains 4 bags (HU201 to HU204) and Each bag contains 25 KG of materials.
Let us say the demand quantity is 25 KG.
When the staging warehouse task is created, the system creates the warehouse task for 25 KG with pallet HU (HU100) as source HU and destination HU field will be blank. During the confirmation, the user can scan decide which lower-level HU to pick. Hence the user scans the lower-level HU and pick the full bag.
Now the issue here is when I try to enter the same lower level HU number (for example HU201) in the source and destination HU field, the system throws the below error message .
Destination HU same as source HU only allowed for HU takeover
I don't want to use the pick HU as we need to print the new lower level HU Label every time.
Is there any settings in Warehouse order or exception code solve this issue? For the information, currently I have not done any settings in warehouse order or exception code.
I found below notes and all these notes are already implemented as part of S/4 HANA 1909.
2953785 - Partial quantity cannot be confirmed for a picking WT
2942592 - Partial quantity cannot be confirmed for a picking WT
2199823 - Error message when confirming picking for lower-level HU
Thank you
Aradhana

My findings for this requirement is that, there are two options to fix this issue
1. Destination storage type should not be flagged as "HU requirement". So that the pick HU is not required.
OR
2. Even if the HU requirement is chosen for the destination storage type, during the confirmation of the warehouse order, need to scan the lower level HU even though the system displays the higher level HU in the HU field. This can be done if we set the HU pack control settings as 1 (Adopt lower level HU same as pick HU).

Hello Aradhana,
There 2 things we need to configure and test it.
1) Need to update the quantity classification in packspec level ( example: 1 PC = 5 KG) . then update the quantity classification in the respective picking storage type. In addition enable the "Round whole units " option either in the storage type level or warehouse process type level . By doing this, the warehouse task will be splited into 5 , that each task for 1 HU ( 5 pieces).
2) After completing the step 1, in the storage type configuration , under the stock removal ,use the option 3 for HU picking ctrl . i hope the step 2 is already enabled in your system.

Hello Krishna,
Thank your for your reply on this post.
The issue is not related to the rounding rule. The issue I have raised is that how to confirm by using the lower level HU as destination HU as the new labels are not required to print.
