Is SAP PDMS still using AE Rest API?

Hello,

we have just created a brand new instance of SAP PDMS; we cannot see the things in Leonardo IoT even if we created the corresponding equipment in PDMS. We know that the things had been created, since we can see the thing id as equipment external ids. Maybe PDMS is still using SAP Application Enablement REST endpoints? If this is the case, how can we access the things, since in this new environment Application Enablement launchpad is unreachable?

Thanks in advance

Yes, but we are working on moving it over to the OData apis for meta-data like e.g. packages, thing types and property sets.

You can in the new launchpad (app router name shows up as leonardo-iot in the URL like this https://iot-sandbox.leonardo-iot.cfapps.eu10.hana.ondemand.com/cp.portal/site#Shell-home) launch the rest-based thing modeler apps from the drop down (see image below)

Thanks Marcus!

Do you know if the customer will need some kind of data migration when PdMS will be moved to OData apis?

Hi Luca,

the current plan is that the data will be automatically migrated to OData APIs with the PdMS 1908 release.

Thanks Nicolas!

Does this mean that our existing instances of PdMS will be transparently migrated to new OData APIs? Since the mapping with IoT Services is different, will this migration also replicate the same configuration on the new instance?

Our Things were moved from REST to OData flawlessly this weekend. The REST API endpoints still function, but so do the OData APIs.
