Is it possible to issue goods in blocked stock for STO

Hello all,

I have a customer's request to ship stock which is on blocked stock from plant to other plant using STO.

System always selects stock from stock type F2 (unrestricted stock).

Is there a way to select stock which is in blocked stock (Stock type B6)?

Can warehouse process type be changed so that it allows blocked stock to be picked up?

Can you please advice?

Regards,

Chaitanya

Hi,

you have a delivery coming from ERP for your STO, don't you? And this delivery has a item which has a stock category? If yes, what stock category does it have?

Hello Juergen,

That's correct. It is STO coming from ECC.

Outbound delivery is created using VL10B.

Administration tab of this outbound delivery shows stock type as unrestricted.

I am not sure what do you mean by stock category. In which of outbound delivery tab I should look for it?

Thanks,

Chaitanya

Hi Chaitanya,

This has been standard SAP behavior that stock category 'unrestricted; gets determined even if stock type in STO is blocked.

However, you can go ahead and try this SAP note to see if this fixes your problem.

OSS NOTE: 496992 - Goods issue for the delivery: Stock type

Hope this helps.

Hello Chaitanya,

sorry, my mistake, I meant the stock type, I was not sure about the name and did not look into an english system.

The reason for pointing this out was: the stock determination is made in ECC - so why look for a solution in EWM?

The note Namita is referring to, is important in this case. But it also describes what you have to do (IMO): In the PO you have to enter the stock type you want to get.

Hello Juergen, Namita and Suraj,

As per OSS note, indicator (Activate source stock type) is already active in ECC.

Attached is its screenshot.

Now, I attempted a complete cycle to move blocked stock from plant to plant.

This blocked stock was successfully moved in EWM system.

However, in ECC, outbound deliver, inbound delivery and stock in receiving plant is not updated.

Attached are screenshot of inbound and outbound delivery indicating Goods movement has not started yet for both.

Is there any further setting need to be done to achieve the update in ECC?

Chaitanya

Hello,

In Tcode: SMQ2, for the outbound delivery which was not getting updated, I am getting following error message.

Check table YMBUZ: entry 0001 X does not exists.

But when I tried to look up this table in SE16N or in SM30 in ECC, system gives following message.

Table YMBUZ is not active in the directory.

Can you guide?

Thanks,

Chaitanya

Its look like you have QM active in your ECC system.

The problem can also occur for another goods movement if it is posted via function module MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT. A precondition is that at first a transfer posting is to be processed (such as release quality to unrestricted use) and afterwards a goods movement for issue can happen..

You can read SAP Notes

102879 - Inspection lot release: Entry & not in table YMBUZ

Help me to understand

Material in blocked stock in EWM - is it also in blocked stock in ECC ? if yes your first transaction will be in EWM transfer posted Blocked to Unrestricted (You can do it standard in EWM via process type or something - I can not comment)..but if you have blocked stock in ECC .. Goods issue can not happen from blocked stock in ECC.. this is not possible..

If I still want to achieve it .. I do following .. move the stock to unrestricted (ECC) using config or custom..once I have stock in ECC as Unrestricted ..goods issue can take place..

if you have blocked stock in ECC, you can not do good issue .. but blocked stock EWM . may be you have to move them to unrestricted before you able to issue stock from them

From your error in SMQ2.. it seems item category and delivery document type configuration is not maintained in ECC side

Hello Jagdeep,

Moving blocked stock into unrestricted stock is not acceptable option to business folks.

Now about item category and  delivery doc type -

Moving unrestricted stock to unrestricted stock on STO is successful.

Are you suggesting to create a new item category and delivery doc type specifically for blocked stock movement?

Hi,

you can already specify in your STO that the shipment should be done with "blocked" stock.

I remeber you have to activate SPM on your ERP to support this function.

by this the delivery being created is requesting blocked stock and by this EWM should look for blocked stock instead of F2 stock

Thanks for your reply Joerg,

My system already has indicator active under SPM.

I am able move blocked stock in EWM.

But inbound and outbound deliveries are not getting updated in ECC.

Please see my reply dated 23rd Oct at 5.21 AM for error message seen in Tcode: SMQ2.

Thanks,

Hi,

can you please add the detailed error message number.

This is easier to find a possible root cause.

Hi,

never seen this message before. I quickly checked the OSS notes and saw that a note for this was recently released. Note 2219906 seems to be a candidate.

Please check for notes or open an SAP message.

Hi Chaitanya.

check in ECC and find the below filed under good movement tab. If your del has block stock allowed then EWM will take this and allow block stock.
