Is FTP Nessesary To Transfer Transport Files to Another System?

Hello Experts,

I'm wondering whether or not FTP is needed to transfer transport files from one system to another system. Those systems have a different transport directory respectively.

I think RFC connection is only needed to transfer transport files, but please tell if I am wrong.

I though it was transported using NFS ..
