Is Creation of Inbound Delivery Document a Mandatory Requirement for MRP-Relevant PO Confirmation?

Hi all,

My client who is on #S/4HANA would like to start using MRP-relevant PO confirmations for their POs. I would like to confirm if it's mandatory to create inbound delivery documents when using this type of PO confirmation, as they currently don't perform this inbound delivery document creation process. They just enter the shipping acknowledgement/ASN in the confirmations tab and afterwards they do a GR when the goods are delivered.

Can someone please advise?

Hi,

If you are entering the confirmation control key (MRP relevant) with quantity and date in the PO - confirmations tab, it will be enough for MRP relevant confirmation and you will be able to see the confirmation details in MD04.

You may also refer the note : 2445669 - MD04 shows "ShpgNt" when PO Confirmation Category is set to AB

Thanks so much Prasoon. What about GR-relevant confirmation? Can we use this functionality if we currently don't create inbound delivery documents?
