Dear All,
I would like to understand if there will be a direct link between IBP and MRP in SAP S4 HANA?
Can there be a link where MRP when executed for a Material, can consider the forecast provided by SAP IBP and then generate requirements and in turn a PR for that material?

Prasanna

Hi Lingaiah,
Can you tell me if it is possible to use IBP SoP to create sales forecasts in IBP, without interfacing to S/4 backend? The scenario is, can we start with this process in IBP (standalone) because the backend is not S/4 yet.
thank you,
Johannes

Hi,
It depends on the business case.
Forecast generated in IBP (S&OP or Demand) then transfer to S/4HANA, S/4HANA MRP or MRP live run for those materials as a daily background job and generated the planned or purchase requisitions.
Forecast generated in IBP and release to Supply & Response for supply planning. After planning planned orders and purchase requisitions transferred to S/4HANA. If IBP planning results transferred to S/4HANA weekly basis or monthly then MRP can take care of net change planning run.

Dear Lingaiah,
Thanks a lot for the response! Highly appreciated!

Could you please help me out on how the above-mentioned integration between IBP and MRP works? Are there any specific configurations to be done?
It would be great even if you could point me out to any SAP notes or blogs. I tried searching but couldn't find any.

Prasanna
