Integrating Measurement Points with External Numbers in SAP

Hi Experts,

I need your help with integrating another SAP system. We are receiving Measurement Points from this system that we need to duplicate in our own SAP system.

I noticed that SAP does not offer the possibility to create Measurement Points with external numbers. However, I want to retain the same numbers from the other SAP system in our SAP system to facilitate identifying the integration between both systems and handling any modifications.

How can we achieve this?

you can try using the measurement position as external identifier.

Another alternative would be to classify measuring points with class type 037. You need to define a class and assign a characteristic to it. In next step you assign the class to the measuring point
