Indirect recursive BOM

Dear reader,

• We have have a parent material A with multiple BOM levels, ending with child material D.
• Heuristic for all materials is executed in SCM APO, so not by MRP in R/3
• Material C is recursive

Question: In order to prevent the Heuristic to end in a loop, should we only maintain the "recursive allowed" indicator on level 3 (parent D with child C), or also on other level(s)?
