Indexing Issue

Hello everybody

We have an issue with our SAP partner.

They didn't run the tables indexing before go-live phase which causes system slow performance.

my question is, if this step is mandatory before uploading the master data or not ?

Hi Mohamed,

1. For the system performance, If you know the transaction or any reports slowness, Just enable the transaction code ST12 trace to find the expenses SQL statements and fix the required indexes with the support of ABAPer.

2. For the Master data upload, I think it is not required to drop the indexes, during the time of master data upload have end-users access to the SAP system? if it is yes then you do not need to drop the index and recreate it.
