Incoterm Location or Default Route

Hi,

This is related to International Outbound Scenario.

We have requirement that Customer will pick the Goods from Port of Destination .i,e planning is not required from Port of Destination to ShiptoParty Location.

Example:

1.Shipping Point(A)->Port Of Loading(B)->Port of Destination(C)->Ship to party Location(D)

2.Shipping Point(A)->Transshipment Location(B)->Port Of Loading(C)->Port of Destination(D)->Ship to party Location(E)

Whether it has to be handled by Incoterm Location or Default Routes or Any other solution.

Need your Suggestions.

Hello sapsdhana

In your example Port of Destination i.e. location Port of Destination(C) or location Port of Destination(D) is your handover location. Unfortunately TM doesn't handle handovers locations directly. Therefore if the handover location corresponds to your incoterms then use incoterm location. Otherwise use default routes to determine stages and stage types and profiles to designate statistical/not-plannable stages.

Hi sapsdhana

Ex: You have a Outbound Document from Shipping point A to destination location B.

You can do use default route to determine the stop sequence:

A to B ---> B to C-->C to D. etc.

with Stage profile you can set which stage is relevant for planning.

I would suggest to use stage profile as some of the stage will be not for Planning.

Thank you for the reply.

For Point1(1.Shipping Point(A)->Port Of Loading(B)->Port of Destination(C)->Ship to party Location(D)), Hope i can proceed with Incoterm location.

For Pont2(2.Shipping Point(A)->Transshipment Location(B)->Port Of Loading(C)->Port of Destination(D)->Ship to party Location(E)), i am not sure with Incoterm location.

Let me try and check.
