Hi Experts,

We are having issue with projected stock calculation for a warehouse defined as location in IBP. The expected calculation is as follows as per SAP help.

For the first period of the planning horizon (technical week 39a of 2021), the expected calculation is as follows:

PS(1) = Stock on-hand + Receipts(1) – Supply(1)

For rest of the periods of the planning horizon, the expected calculation is as follows:

PS(t) = MAX { PS(t-1); 0 } + Receipts(t) – Supply(t) – Total Independent Demand Delivered(t).

But the Heuristics and the Optimizer are giving different output that suggested by SAP Help. As per the SAP help for technical week 39a 2021 the projected stock should be 17125.372405.

Projected stock key figure setup:-

Stock On hand setup:-

Thanks in advance for help.

Hello Mukesh

The problem is your projected stock KF is at DAY level and the data that your are trying to view is at TWK. Remember that standard projected stock KF use LPA function. So projected stock calculated at DAY level will always show difference when you view it at any aggregate time level.

Hence if you have your projected stock defined at DAYPRODLOC then you should do 1 of the folowing

1) Either change the Base plannning level of the projected stock to TWK or

2) Create a new KF at TWK week and use the CAGGR function to recalculate the projected stock at TWK level.

Although I am surprised to see TS based KF like projected stock or initial inventory are at DAY level. Is this a requirement to run TS supply plan at day level ? Just curious.
