Hello, My customer plans to implement S/4 EWM 1909 with decentralized, but S/4 ERP is not planned at this moment. In case I have no SAP ERP, I'm trying to create an inbound delivery in EWM directly. When I tried to create it via /SCWM/PRDI, I got an error "Unknown error has occurred in target system" Message No. /SCWM/DELIVERY_UI056. According to the note 2678568 related to the error, it will happen in creating return to vendor, but I don't create return so doesn't make sense. It is really appreciated if any advice.

Dear Asada-san,

normally EWM is linked to the ERP delivery processes by qRFC calls into/from EWM which call function modules to create the according deliveries or confirm them.

You get the overview of (Non-SAP)ERP/EWM Integration interfaces in the help. You have to set the switch "EWM is decentralized" in the S/4HANA EWM system. Then decentralized integration options become available.

It might be an option to use IDoc instead of qRFC integration which simplifies the integration and limits complexity:

Hi,

In any case when you tried to create inbound delivery directly in EWM, system will try to create corresponding document in ERP. Whether to create a corresponding ERP document or not is driven by the document type you selected in EWM.

If your document type is INB, as per the standard behavior system is trying to create ERP document number but in your case since ERP is not linked to EWM you are getting error.

Try to create a custom document type which will not post stock posting in ERP just like INBM. It should solve your requirement.

I had the same problem, the solution was to place SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW in SU01 to the interface user in S/4 since we have EWM decentralized

Hello All, Really appreciate your advice. My case is, customer has in-house system to manage purchase orders/sales orders like MM/SD, and they want to integrate it with EWM. So I have two option to create inbound/outbound delivery in EWM - creating deliveries via interface, or via UI manually. Based on your advice, again I'll try to create deliveries via UI, and let you know. Many thanks.

Hi Hironori,

i'm facing the same case, and i've to choose between integrating decentralized EWM with a non-SAP ERP or using EWM in standalone (without any integration) if this option is possible.

thanx ^^

Hi hasada

I guess below marked parameter (Comm. to ERP) in configuration influences the above and it should be no ERP since its stand alone.

IMG Path: -> Delivery - Warehouse Request -> Process Management and Control -> Define Process Profile for Document Header

Kind Regards,

Ajit

Hi Hironori.

I've never worked with EWM descentralized deployment strategy, but I guess you first need to create an inbound delivery notification, through a message from a reference document with all the relevant logistics data and them the inbound delivery will automatically be created.

Could please, you share more about the business scenario?

Do you have another ERP non-SAP in place? Or your company plans to use EWM as a standalone solution?

All the best,

JL
