PS: it is for automatic upload of Retail Panel data using folder scanner for DSiM 1.0.
Format file | FORMAT |
Control file | CONTROL |
Dimension file | DIMENSION |
Hierarchy file | HIERARCHY |
Hierarchy level file | LEVEL |
Variable file | VARIABLE |
Key figure file | MEASURE |
Hierarchy structure file | PARENTAGE |
Attribute value file | ATTRIBUTE_VALUE |
Sales data file | DATA |
Do all the above files need to be there in the metafile or only a subset of this will do? If so, which files need to there?
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Sagar,
Yes, it is necessary to maintain all the file details in the meta file for Retain panel data. This is the first file which DSiM finds and collects all the other information from this file.
Normally, the meta file would contain the following structure :
You would then define this meta file in your File set definition in /DDF/FILESET and assign to your data delievery agreement.

Thanks Ankit.
But we are planning to upload Nielsen Infact Files in which the parentage files and hierarchy files are not there. Instead they have something called Charn, Charv and Chitm files where the product hierarchies and the hierarchical relationships are maintained.
Also, the files here are separated by semi-colons instead of "tables".
Do we have to convert the Infact Files to suit the DSiM Format in metafile mentioned above or DSiM can handle Infact files or we have to code to upload the data?
In short, do we have to stick with the files and file types mentioned in your screenshots?
Much appreciated.
