Implementation of New Modules like EWM after Core system go-live

The query is related to the impact of implementing new modules like EWM, PLM, etc after the Core S/4HANA application goes live ( or is under UAT ).

  1. Can EWM be configured after S4/HANA core module( FI,CO,MM,PP) go live? Is there any requirements like EWM must be configured simultaneously with other modules like PLM PEO QM?
  2. Can PM and CM be configured after the configuration of master client ? Are there any requirements such as they must be configured with other functionalities?
  3. What is the impact if configurations for new module (EWM, PM etc. ) are added while UAT is being executed? For example, will test scenarios have to be redone? Will migrated data need to be re-migrated? Will configuration changes be required ?

Hi,

It depends on project scope which modules are part of the implementation project.

Any point in time EWM, PM and CM can be added to project scope again it will impact on the end to end business process.

From the functional side, business requirements mappings, configuration, testing activities are additional steps.

Adding EWM module in to scope will defiantly impact on the warehouse structure and handling of goods movements.

Best Regards,
