Hello Experts,

I have activated 3 BC sets in development system as I have to configure SAP PP EWM interface for a new warehouse. BC Set creates the Customizing entries.

1) /SCWM/DLV_TRANSFER_PROF(Delivery Processing in EWM - Posting Change), 2)/SCWM/DLV_STOCK_TRANS_PROF (Delivery Processing in EWM - Stock Transfer) , 3)/SCWM/DLV_INBOUND_PROD(Delivery Processing in EWM - Inbound Delivery GR Production)

But we have already one warehouse which in running in production. Does the activation of 3 Business sets will impact the already present EWM warehouse in production and its operation?

I just read few documents and got to know that All entries which are created by activation of BC sets are warehouse-number-independent.

Appreciate your reply?

Best regards

Shailesh MIshra

Hi,

not ALL BC set entries are warehouse number independent. Those which aren't, will ask for which warehouse number the BC set should be activated (so you will notice) and will propose 0001 or W001 (depending on the version).

These BC sets you listed creates delivery types, item types and the required settings. These are warehouse number independent and should not have a negative effect, except of course you created objects with the same name already (which would not be in your name range, so bad choice, and that's why there is the selection option to say that existing objects should not be changed - which means some settings can be without any effect). But as with everything you do in your DEV system - you should check your processes in your test system afterwards and before giving it to your production system.

By the way: Note 2450387 - Which document type or item type for which warehouse request? shows all the BC sets we recommend to activate for the basic delivery settings (means, that is actually the very first thing you should do in your SAP system).

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!

Hello Experts,

I have activated these different BC sets, however, when I try to save a stock transfer document, I get an error message: Application error.

Have you had this error message ?
