Hi IBP Experts,
As you already know the CBP or ABP in IBP is still not out of the box solution and its in Roadmap, can you please suggest some ideas on how it can be modeled into the current supporting landscape for Planning area 7F OBP?
I tried adding a new root attribute supporting Product, eventually, when the planning level got added with this attribute the "all" Time series-based KFs disappeared which comes out of OBP example "distribution receipts" "Production planned" etc...yet the OBP still gives the STRs and works!.
Thanks,
Rahul

Dear rahul.kumar124,
Regarding Characteristic-based Planning: it is not supported within IBP at this time, but it is on the product direction roadmap for 2022+ (source https://d.dam.sap.com/a/tb6y3ix/Webinar_2021_06_IBP_Strategy_Update.pdf).

With regards to the future product direction, you may find the SAP Road Map Explorer for IBP helpful: https://roadmaps.sap.com/board?PRODUCT=67838200100800006742
With regards to concepts/terminology, please note that the Master Data Types in IBP have been compared with Characteristics in APO (see https://answers.sap.com/answers/12607838/view.html).
If you provide a bit more details regarding functionality you are exactly looking for, and the limitations you see, I would be happy to look into it.
P.S.: As far as I am aware, the following sample planning areas exist within SAP IBP, shipped out of the box: SAP3, SAP4, SAP4C, SAP4S, SAP5, SAP6, SAP7, SAP8, SAPIBP1 (unified planning area). Hence I am not sure which planning area you are referencing when talking about "OBP 7F". Guessing from the abbreviation, does this concern Order Based Planning?

Thanks Vincent, it helps a bit.
I am looking for modeling the solution in the SAP7F Planning area for "fashion" industry clients that deal with sizes, where size will be attribute to the Product and how does OBP takes size level demand into consideration and plans/disaggregate STRs back on the size from "orders series" point of view from higher to lower levels.
Thanks,
Rahul
