Hi Oliver,
On configuration side - in web UI, go to Configuration app and click on Version. Choose your planning area and version in which version specific master data is to be created. Select Version-Specific Master Data checkbox as shown below. Activate the planning area.

On data side - to begin with, you can copy master data records from baseline to the new version and then make version specific changes in that master data type.

Hope it helps!!

Hi Piyush
thanks for the response. That means (in your example) that you have md customer product in the base version and md customer product in den other version and you change some attributes in the other version e.g. fair cost policy the values in the two versions are different. Right ?
Is it possible, to compare the different entries in the different versions ?
Regards and thanks
Oliver

Hi Oliver,
Yes. Your understanding is correct. You can maintain different records in base version and some other version in case of version-specific MDT.
Pull MDT - Customer Product in base version and Customer Product in downside version in master data workbook in Excel UI to compare entries in both versions.
