Hi experts
The user employs a view with monthly buckets for Planning. Our system is configured and our planning area as technical week as root. The user enters his proposed (adjusted) planned quantities in KF ADJUSTEDPRODUCTIONRECEIPT. The Disaggregation Mode used is "Proportional if aggregated value is not zero; otherwise, copy value to .."

Say the user enters 100 units in May, the system splits it into equal 25 units in each week and then this values (copied into another KF) is exported to HANA as 4 Planned Orders. What the user needs is to split the quantity into 100/0/0/0, in other words, the full quantity for the first week
I've been doing my best looking for posts, configuration guide, and two books I have and I couldnt find how to do it. So far I understand there are two elements I could probably use Period Weight Factor and/or Disaggregation Expression, I'm I, right? If that is the case could you please let me know how to do it or point me to a reference where I could read a bit more on the subject.
Thanks in advance for your help

Hi Roberto,
You need to modify time profile related configuration and data file as follows:
1. Create "FIRSTPERIODOFMONTH" attribute (type: integer) to the attribute list.
2. Assign this attribute to Week(technical) level of the time profile assigned to your target planning area.
3. Go to planning level configuration and mark this attribute under time profile section of "WKPRODLOCSRC" planning level. Note that to maintain consistency across relevant planning levels to that of WKPRODLOCSRC, you may need to add this attribute to several other planning levels as well. e.g WKPRODLOCSRCUOMTO. Inconsistent planning levels usually gets reflected in planning area check.
4. Go to key figure configuration. Change Disaggregation Mode to "Proportional if aggregated value is not zero; otherwise, equal distribution". This will make Period Weight Factor option active. Select attribute "FIRSTPERIODOFMONTH" under Period Weight Factor and save the new key figure configuration.
5. Perform planning area check and remove inconsistency in planning levels (if any) because of this new attribute. Activate your target planning area including time profile.
6. Download pre-filled time profile file with existing records from Data Integration Jobs. There should be one more blank column - FIRSTPERIODOFMONTH added in time profile file. Maintain 1 across all time technical week periods which are 1st period of a particular month. Rest technical week periods can be zero or blank. This creates 1-0-0-0.. pattern in period weight factor. Upload this time profile file using Data Integration Jobs.

Thanks very much, Piyush.
I will give it a try and might come back to you if you don't mind. I'm learning on my own and there are quite a few things here that are a bit of a steep curve for me. I'm a "functional"/a planner but I'm interested to learn the technical aspects in IBP, improve my knowledge and make my work more efficient.
Thanks again, much appreciated
