Hello IBP Peers,
I am facing a requirement where we are configuring new Snapshot operator/generated key figures at a Product/Location level and deleting off the current Snapshot operator/generated key figures that are at a very granular level which is creating tons of data on the planning level. We are at nearly 1.6B records to date.
I am wanting to make sure i follow the best practice when deleting the current stored snapshot key figures. My question is, do i need to purge the key figure data in and out of the planning horizon combined with deleting the planning objects before deleting the key figures? I am not clear in my research if by deleting the key figures alone, all of the data and planning objects will automatically delete off as well. The snap shot key figures are the only key figures defined at the planning level they live on.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi
Since you also want to delete the Planning Objects, I suggest you use the Purge Key Figure, which has an option to do so.
Moreover, since Snap Shot KF is used only on 1 Planning Level, Purge KF seems to be the best option.
