IBP set up times

Hi all

Is there any work around to have set up times in Response?I know that PPDS is used to schedule, but if you have important set up times, production proposal in response will not be feasible with set up times. And the plan will not be the optimal because your are not secuence the right products in each plant.

Is this functionality in the road map?

Hi Carlos,

a possible option is to reduce the capacity by an average % due to set up times (if on average 10% of the machine time is lost on setup activities, reduce the capacity to a 90%). It is a rough-approximation, but more exact that ignoring set up times. Detailed scheduling can do the rest in S/4 once you have decided what goes into each week.

I wouldn't expect sequences in R&S, I would say it goes against the philosophy of the CTM-like planning operator. The optimizer could at some point include setup times as it did in SNP, I didn't check the roadmap for that.
