In SAP's best practice planning view of supply planning planning; production, capacity, capacity product sheets are at base planning. We want to do rough cut capacity planning at product family( or some kind of group level) which doesn't seems to be possible in standard planning views.
Family->Subfamily1-->Subfamily 2-->Subfamily3
Production Lines Group(PG)--> Production lines
1- How do design supply planning at Subfamily3 and PG level?
2- How to transfer subfamily 3 and PG level plan to individual SKU and Production line level for Operational Planning?
This is pretty standard S&OP process. How to implement this in IBP? how to design master and KFs? do i need to create new planning view?
thanks

Hello Pradeep,
SAP has a roadmap item to provide Aggregated Supply Planning sometime in 2023. But we went ahead and build the aggregated supply Planning functionality. To achieve this you would need to build this in a separate PA called Aggregated Planning Area, in which SubFamily3 will be your PRDID and Product Line Group will be your RESID.
You will have to build CI-DS interfaces to aggregate the data from individual SKU to aggregate level. Also to disaggregate the data from aggregate to individual SKU, you will need to decide the logic and build a custom disaggregation logic. Although this is doable, it needs a separate project to build the entire application.
Hope this provides some clarification.
Thanks,
Mangesh
