IBP S&OP and S/4 Integration

Does IBP S&OP module support multi-level planning with integration of transactional data at all levels of the BOM including:

• Planned orders
• Stock transfer requisitions
• Purchase requisitions
• Purchase order
• Production orders
• Stock Transfer Orders

IBP S&OP is the module that supports basic demand planning and basic supply planning to help strategic and tactical decisions of the organization.

IBP S&OP as a technical entity supports only time series based supply planning using engines such as Heuristics(infinite without shortages, shelf life, finite) and optimizer(delivery maximization, cost maximization).

The objects you have listed will be recorded in IBP (by standard) as

• Planned orders - PRODUCTIONRECEIPT or CONFIRMEDPRODUCTIONRECEIPT(in case of firmed)
• Stock transfer requisitions - TRANSPORTRECEIPT or CONFIRMEDTRANSPORTRECEIPT(in case of firmed)
• Purchase requisitions - TRANSPORTRECEIPT or CONFIRMEDTRANSPORTRECEIPT(in case of firmed)
• Purchase order - CONFIRMEDTRANSPORTRECEIPT
• Production orders -  CONFIRMEDPRODUCTIONRECEIPT
• Stock Transfer Orders - CONFIRMEDTRANSPORTRECEIPT

 Also the BOM and Recipe which mostly refers to Production Version are recorded as PRODUCTIONSOURCE(Header, Item, Resource) MDs to help the production based constraining.

The only lag here is that the S&OP do not have an order based understanding until we put Response and Supply Module in use. Also we talk only about strategic and tactical decision in S&OP, hence we won't be able to use the results of S&OP for operational or short-term use-cases.

Overall IBP supports all the orders specified by you and also highly helpful in Multi-level Supply Planning, but only at Time Series mode.
