IBP Response planned quantity several days

Hi all

we have set up a minimun lot size in the material master with a quantity bigger than the capacity in one day. So, to produce min quantity it takes 3 days.

When running forecast constrained priority, the system does not create any proposal although there is available capacity.

So how can we have a planned order for more than one day?

If we have to create a planned order for every day, then it is more complex to manage the process orders

Order-Based Planning: Constrained Forecast Run uses a rule-based heuristic.

The algorithms for planning runs work based on rules and priorities. Planning runs take given capacities and other constraints as well as lot sizes into account.

Though planning runs are performed for specific material locations, they also look at all related materials and locations, and their resources and constraints. For example, if you select a finished or semi-finished product, the run also looks at the BOM levels (semi-finished and components) and resource availability even if they are built in a different location.

The job looks at forecast demands and fixed demands and receipts, taking record of fulfilled and unfulfilled forecasts and of forecasts fulfilled late. It also considers safety stock and target stock. As opposed to the confirmation run, the constrained forecast run does not consider sales orders or forecast consumption. It calculates constrained forecast key figure values.

I would suggest to remove the minimum lot size in master data and run the forecast constrained priority job and check any planned orders created.

Without min lot size, it creates planned order with a maximun duration af a day. But many facilities when running semifinishes need to run a min quantity.

I cannot run a line for a few quantity of a product, or I don`t want 3 orders of the same item in the same week, if I am going to produce all together.

If there any option to use minimum lot size in response?
