IBP Planning area Activation error.

We are getting the following error while activating planning area, can anyone advice,

Hello Sachin

There are some users working in the excel and it seems to be the reason for the error. Kindly ask the users to logout of excel and then try activating the planning area. Once the planning area is activated, then they can login into the excel.

It is highly recommended to not work in the excel while planning area activation is running. Hope this helps.

Thanks everyone for the update, apparently this error happened because S&OP optimizer run got stuck and could not stopped, solution was to reboot the server and reactivate the planning area. It working fine now.

was your system busy at the time or has e.g. someone loaded something via HCI at the same time?
