IBP OBP Sales order confirmation and integration to S/4HANA

Hello everyone,

Currently, I am generating a supply plan in IBP OBP. Initially, I have couple of sales orders which after the supply run with finite heuristic are confirmed fully and on time. I also tested the simulation of sales order confirmation which was also successful. However, when I trigger the outbound integration application job in IBP I can only integration planned orders and purchase requisitions to S/4HANA and no sales order confirmations are visible.

After I trigger this integration, my sales orders status in IBP is returned back to 'requested', so I have to confirm them again. I tried also to save my confirmation results in a Scenario and then copy them to Baseline, but this is not possible.

In IBP Location Product MD I have maintained the profiles for forecast consumption, product allocation and Source of Supply. In S/4 I have maintained the same profiles via tr. code /IBP/ECC_MDSET .

So any ideas about the integration of sales order confirmations are more than welcome. Thank you in advance.

Hello Julian,

The Sale orders confirmation in IBP has been transfer if you have proper setup the application Job Data Integration using SAP HANA SDI (Outbound). At parameter setting need to check the Sale order confirmation .

Could you please cross check and then execute job. It would move to S4 HANA system

Thank you for your reply. I must mention that I am using RTI integration and Planning Area in IBP with flexible master data.

The application job template that I am using is 'Real-Time Integration (Outbound)' and I am marking the checkbox for sales order confirmations, but those are not transferred:

And one more example from my case:

1. I have a sales order created in S/4 and integrated to IBP via RTI. In IBP I have a sales order for 2 PC for 04 January 2023 fully and on time confirmed after finite heuristic planning run:

2. Afterwards I triggered the outbound integration from IBP to S/4 and in S/4 I still have 0 confirmed quantity within the sales order schedule lines tab:

Hello everyone,

the case was resolved by changing the customer in the sales order. There was an issue with the customer master data.
The confirmations are now sent back to S/4 as expected.

Hello Julian,

Thanks for the feedback. It's finally working after implementing couple of notes in the S4 system and managing the the configuration to activate IBP Response Availability Check.

And yes, using the same application job for RTI outbound, order confirmations are sent from IBP to S4.

Thanks for posting this and sharing your experience about Sales Order confirmation from IBP!

Some questions from my side, have you already tried doing the same using RTI? Is it even working also using RTI?

I'm in the middle of testing this as well for a client and so far no luck. Thanks in advance for your help! 🙂

Hello Rodrigo,

As far as I know, currently the only way to send supply planning results from IBP OBP to S/4 is via application job for outbound integration in IBP itself. The RTI is used only for the other way round - to transfer data from S/4 to IBP OBP.
