IBP OBP Additional attributes MARC and MARA

Hello Expert,

I could not find the data type for additional attributes in IBP. Attributes App in model configuration does not show these attributes e.g. "Location Material Custom Attr. 1".

We are planning to use these attributes and want to change the data type for few of these additional custom attri. in S/4-ECC side and want to know the impact on IBP side

Hi Mangesh,

The Custom Attributes are hard coded in the SDI Integration and External Data Sources (PAREA). The data structure & type is defined on the ERP Add-On side in e.g. Table /IBP/MARC_EXT. Here you can find 10 Custom Attributes for Location Products that all have a specific type and length. E.g. Custom Attribute 1 (Length 10) CHAR type.

Why not taking another approach, ask yourself what information you need in IBP and see how you can map that into the available custom fields?

We are precisely doing the same as you suggested. Global business planner has differet ways to looks at ( aggregate data ) using attribute. Hence we need all these custom attribute. Problem is there are around 8 attribute which demand Char data type with more than 30 length. So i was checking if there is any other way to address this

BTW , we are going to implement BADI /IBP/ECC_SAVE_MATERIAL to populate these custom fields
