IBP Master Data Types available in Master Data Workbooks

Our backend was just upgraded to 2411 and we are using the 2408 Excel Add-in. It seems that since the backend was upgraded, some master data types are no longer listed in the Master Data Workbook. I can not find anything in the notes that would explain this situation. 

Does someone know why this may have happened?

I think your case is a bit similar to one of my colleagues. Issue was that he wanted to see virtual mdt in excel however this mdt was made only of already assigned attributes to the planning area, prdid locid resid, therefore IBP did not detect this mdt it in excel as prdid id from product mdt, locid from location mdt and resid from resource mdt

to work around,I advised him to add in this virtual mdt at least one attribute, even like att1 without any meaning, to his mdt. In this case we chose a product attribute not yet used in parea

then adding this attribute to the planning area, no need to assign to any planning level. By so doing, later in excel, as att1 is part of the parea, IBP determines the virtual mdt must be presented in the drop down of the master data workbook.

Thank you. By using your suggestion to add a "dummy" attribute, I can now view the master data type in a Master Data Workbook. Thank you.
